DECORAH — Luther College junior and Perry graduate Claire Marburger scored 19 points Wednesday to lead the Norse to a 66-48 win over Central College, for who she played for two seasons before transferring.
Marburger pulled down five rebounds, blocked two shots, made two steals and had one assist in helping the Norse (now 4-4 overall) to the victory.
A three-time all-state player and the leading scorer in Perry girls history, Marburger is averaging 16.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game for head coach Amanda Bailey’s cagers.
