A steady stream of wellwishers visited the Perry Perk coffeehouse in downtown Perry Thursday afternoon to wish Marge Stewart both a happy birthday — Nov. 30 marks her 84th year — and retirement congratulations for her 38 years with HomeCare Services Inc. of Dallas County.
Along with family members, Marge was feted by several co-workers, including fellow HIRTA bus driver Linda Campidilli and Home Care Aid Department Director Deb Anderson. Two of Marge’s regular riders to the Tuesday treks to Prairie Meadows said they will miss her reliable driving.
The party continues until 3:30 p.m. at the Perry Perk, 1218 Second St. in Perry.
