GRANGER — Class 1A No. 3 Martensdale-St. Marys saw a 7-2 lead disappear in the bottom of the sixth inning, but responded to score once in the seventh to escape Woodward-Granger with an 8-7 win in non-conference baseball Tuesday.

The Blue Devils (17-3) won their 13th consecutive contest with the late rally while W-G dropped to 14-4 overall.

The Hawks led, 1-0, after their first at-bat, but the guests scored four times in the third and three times in sixth to snatch a 7-2 lead, as the home team had plated a run of their own in the fifth.
