Perry High School senior Natalie Martinez is the inaugural honoree of the Perry High School Student of the Month, an award newly established by the Perry Kiwanis Club.
The PHS Student of the Month award recognizes students who show excellence both in and out of the classroom. Martinez was nominated by multiple PHS staff members as someone who always does the right thing, as when she recently turned in a billfold with more than $50 in it to the office after finding it in the hallway.
Martinez is also a leader for the Jayette soccer team, excelling as a player. Perry Kiwanis Club President Jeremy Winter presented Martinez with an award certificate and a gift card in recognition of the inaugural winner of the PHS Student of the Month for September 2018.
