An officer of the Perry Police responded to a report of a goat at large in the 2100 block of Third Street shortly before 10 p.m. Friday.
The family who reported the rambling ruminant said they had been hearing the animal for several hours and perhaps for several days, but they could not provide a visual description.
A number of neighbors with flashlights were seen in the vicinity, seeking the shy Capricornian.
