Santa Claus made an early and very special stop in Perry Sunday afternoon as a favor to his close personal friend, Ron Benifiel, in order to pose for pictures in the ninth annual Santa Paws fundraiser for the Humane Society of Perry.
The event was staged at the McCreary Community Building from 1-3 p.m., and Santa was photographed both with pets and children on a first-come, first-serve basis. Canines were at the front of the line when the event started, but felines have been known to attend the annual photo op, too.
“This is always one of our most enjoyable events,” said Abby Benifiel, director of the Humane Society of Perry. “And Santa never lets us down. He’s always right on time even in November.”
With all proceeds going to the Humane Society of Perry in its rescue and adoption efforts, printed photos were made available for $8 and $15 and emailed photos, in several poses, for $10.
It was our third annual attendance …
Much fun for a great cause … helping furry families !
