The Bulldogs (21-7, 12-4) rode the two-hit pitching of Denali Loecker and two home runs swatted by Ashton Boggess in claiming an 11-0 win in the first game, then twice rallied for a 6-5 come-from-behind win in the second contest.

Panorama (10-11, 7-9) received a double and a walk from Kellie Prince and a single from Lydia Knapp — with Vallerie Storesund stealing a base — as their only offense in the opener as Loecker struck out seven in six innings of work.

Boggess hit her fifth and sixth home runs of the season and drove in four runs to pace the Bulldog attack. Jenna Palmer had three singles and three RBIs, with Loecker, Gabby Ross and Faith Mohr each hitting doubles.

Olivia Richey recorded one out in the circle, allowed two runs on four walks during the span. Grace Richey went 3-1/3 innings, yielding five runs on five hits while striking out two, with Cassidy Hoehne touched for four runs on six hits in 2-1/3 frames. She recorded one strikeout.

Panorama was the visiting team in the second game and countered an Ogden run in the second with three of their own in the top of the third to grab the lead. The Bulldogs went ahead, 5-3, with four runs in the fourth, but the Panthers countered with two tallies in the top of the fifth to tie the game.

Unfortunately for the host team, a single Ogden run in the bottom of the frame flipped the score to 6-5, where it remained.[wpedon id=”85410″ align=”left”]

Meredith Adreon earned the win for Ogden. She allowed five runs (four earned) on 11 hits and a walk while striking out three in seven innings.

Grace Richey went the distance for Panorama, surrendering six runs on seven hits and two walks with one strikeout on her ledger.

Loecker hit a solo home run (her 14th dinger of the season), with Boggess adding a double while Palmer had another three-single outing.

Prince hit a solo home run (her third homer this year) for the Panthers, with Kennedy Andersen adding a double and a RBI. Anderson joins Knapp and Claire Woodworth for the team lead in RBIs with 22.

Knapp scored twice and hit a single and a double, with Grace Richey adding two singles and a RBI while Olivia Richey drove in a run. Vallerie Storesund had a single, a run and a RBI, with Shey Storesund, Nicole Rolfes and Lindsey VanGundy added base hits while Sydney Vogel also scored.

Panorama will open postseason play Tuesday when they host AC/GC at 7 p.m. The Panthers own wins of 18-12 and of 11-7 over the Chargers this year. Tuesday’s winner advances to face No. 2 IKM-Manning in Irwin Thursday.
