Two Perry seniors signed letters of intent to participate in college athletics at a ceremony in the Brady Library at PHS Friday.

Speedster Reece Dunlap has opted to take his talents to the track for Indian Hills Community College.

Dunlap has appeared in six events at the Class 3A State Track Meet. Most recently he finished just outside the medal count in both the 200 and 400, and joined classmates Brandon Kenyon and Alexis Garrido (along with since-graduated Adan Medina) in placing fourth in the 4×400 in 3 minutes, 23.87 seconds — shattering a 36-year old school record in the process.

Campos will suit up for Iowa Western’s football team in Council Bluffs.

The senior missed several games this grid season due to injury but had quite the impact while on the field. He carried 28 times for 269 yards and a touchdown, but was most impressive at middle linebacker, where he racked up 34 solo and 19 assisted tackles. An aggressive tackler, Campos had a sack, six other tackles for loss and an interception despite his shortened season.
