MOUNT AYR — Another pair of lopsided wins last week capped the pre-holiday season for Class 2A sixth-ranked Panorama.

The Panthers (8-0, 6-0) were 70-36 winners over Ogden Dec. 18 in WCAC play and 63-26 victors in non-conference action at Mount Ayr Dec. 21.

Senior point guard Bailey Beckman knocked down 5-of-10 3-pointers en route at a game-high 34 points against Mount Ayr, with freshman guard Payton Beckman pouring in 14 points.

Lydia Knapp contributed five points, Vallerie Storesund four and Morgan Johnk and Ella Waddle three each for the guests.

Bailey Beckman tallied seven rebounds, seven steals and four assists, with Johnk providing five boards, five assists and two blocked shots.

The Beckman sisters had run wild against Ogden as well, with Johnk joining the offensive party in a big way. Bailey Beckman had 26 points, Johnk 19 and Payton Beckman 15, with Knapp scoring four points, Ella Waddle three, Jaelyn Waddle two and Brooke Halterman one.

The Panthers trailed, 19-14, after one frame but exploded for a 29-2 burst in the second eight minutes to enter the intermission holding a 43-21 lead. The hosts were 10-of-20 beyond the 3-point arc in the win.

Abby Langel led Ogden with 21 points on an outstanding 5-of-7 clip on 3-point shots.

Panorama returns to the court Jan. 4 when they host West Central Valley.
