Panorama grapplers compete in quadrangular

GUTHRIE CENTER — Panorama finished with a 1-2 record at a quadrangular meet Thursday.

The Panthers topped Ogden, 42-30, but fell to host AC/GC, 46-28, and to Southeast Valley, 48-33. AC/GC was a 60-24 victor over Ogden, with SE Valley topping AC/GC, 44-36, and Ogden, 60-18, in the other matches.

Wyatt Appleseth was 3-0 for Panorama at 145 pounds, winning by pin, major decision and forfeit, with Noah Kirtley 3-0 at 152 with two pins and a forfeit while Cooper Anderson was 3-0 with a pin at 182 and both a forfeit and a pin at 170.

Garret Fox was 2-1 with a pair of pins, both coming at 182. James Hein was 2-1 at 195 with two forfeits, with Hunter Holmes 2-1 at 285 with a forfeit and a pin while Logan Christie was 2-1 with two pinfall victories at 113 pounds.

Jacob Holwegner won a decision in finishing 1-2 at 138, with Josh Van Winkle unable to collect a victory in three matches at 126.

The Panthers left the 106, 120, 132, 160 and 220-pound weight classes uncontested.

Panorama will compete in the WCAC Tournament at Ogden Saturday before concluding the pre-holiday portion of their season by hosting Mount Ayr and Saydel Dec. 20.
