PANORA — Woodward-Granger and Des Moines Christian were the guests of Panorama for a coed meet Thursday at Lake Panorama National.

DMC counted Sturdivant’s 48, as well as cards from Ashley Kimami (52), Mwihaki Njoroge (57) and Elainia Towers (80).

Panorama was able to send their boys JV team around the course. Malachi Peasley had a 50, Nathan Wolfe a 54, Connor Powell a 55 and Bli Wearmouth a 55 for the hosts.

Despite the first setback of the season for the Panther boys, Panorama head coach David Vanahn was unfazed.

“I am certainly happy with the progress that we have made up to this point,” he said. “If we continue to improve our course management skills we will definitely be a contender in the remaining meets on our schedule.”

The Panorama girls host AC/GC, DMC, Earlham and Van Meter for 18 holes Monday, with the boys squad joining Van Meter at Pleastanville Tuesday. The Panorama boys will host Ballard Thursday while the girls squad visits W-G, with the Panther boys hosting Coon Rapids-Bayard, Nevada, South Hamilton, West Central Valley and Webster City for the Hal Rossow Invite Saturday, with the Panorama JV also playing.

W-G is at WCV Tuesday for a coed at the 5×80 course in Menlo, with the Hawk girls hosting their 18-hole invitational Thursday.
