Panorama netters stumble at W-G invite Saturday

WOODWARD — The Panorama volleyball team dropped all four of their matches at Saturday’s Norm McCune Invitational in Woodward.

Colfax-Mingo slipped past Panorama, 22-20, 22-24, 18-16 in one match, with Fort Dodge topping Panorama, 21-15 and 21-17 while eventual overall champion Roland-Story downing Panorama 21-12, 21-14. Panorama faced East Union in the consolation bracket, falling 18-21, 21-15 and 15-9.

Brooke Halterman finished with 22 kills for the Panthers, with Morgan Johnk adding 10 kills and Nicole Rolfes nine. Carson Fisher and Hope Wilderman had six kills apiece, with Kennedy Kuta adding five kills, Olivia Richey two and Erica Block and Hannah Woodworth one each.

Halterman had a part in eight blocks, Kuta and Rolfes in five apiece, Fisher in three and Wilderman in one.

Kuta provided 49 of the 54 recorded assists, with Richey leading the team with 15 digs. Woodworth had 11 digs, Rolfes eight and Block seven, Johnk, Kuta and Wilderman four digs apiece, Fisher two and Halterman one.

Serving statistics from the East Union match were the only such numbers provided. Wilderman was 8-of-10 with two aces and Kuta 8-of-9 with one ace while Richey was 8-of-10, Rolfes 6-of-7, Woodworth 3-of-3 and Halterman 3-of-5.
