ATLANTIC — The Panorama girls spent Saturday playing a trio of games at the Atlantic Tourney, winning one of three outings after having fallen twice to WCAC foe and host Van Meter Thursday.
Panorama opened weekend action with a 6-2 loss to Lewis Central before defeating Clarinda, 11-7. They then fell to their hosts, 11-1.
Grace Richey and Meredith Woodworth split pitching duties in the victory, with the former spinning four frames and the latter one. Richey allowed three runs on three hits while striking out five, with Woodworth yielding four runs on four hits, three walks and two hit batsmen. She struck out two.
Jaidyn Sellers had a triple for the Panthers, with Shey Storesund adding two singles while Claire Woodworth had two singles and a double. Jazmyn Sellers, Lindy Nelson, and Grace Webner each hit a double.
Richey gave up six runs on seven hits in four innings against Lewis Central, with Meredith Woodworth allowing two hits and hitting one batter in one frame. Richey walked one batter, hit two with pitches and fanned three.
Claire Woodworth had a single, a double, and two RBIs, with Storesund, Nelson, Webner and Jazmyn Sellers adding base hits. Storesund and Jaidyn Sellers each scored for the Panthers.
Van Meter cruised to two WCAC wins Thursday, claiming victories of 13-0, and 15-1.
A Storesund double and a walk to Claire Woodworth accounted for the only two Panorama base runners in the first game. Jaidyn Sellers hit a triple, with Claire Woodworth, Caitlyn Sloss and Claire Woodworth contributing singles while Storesund walked and scored.
Richey suffered both losses from the circle, with six of the 13 runs in the opener earned while eight of the 15 runs in the nightcap were earned. She allowed eight hits in game one and 10 in game two, with two strikeouts, one walk, and one hit batsman in each contest.
