Panorama tops West Central Valley in WCAC volleyball

PANORA — Panorama prevailed over visiting West Central Valley, 3-2, Tuesday in a back-and-forth WCAC match.

WCV (4-15, 2-3) won game one, 25-18, with Panorama claiming a 25-23 win in game two. The Panthers posted a 25-18 win the third game, but the visiting Wildcats responded for a 25-18 win of their own to force a fifth game. The finale went to the home team, 15-11, allowing Panorama to improve to 6-13, 3-2.

Jaidyn Sellers had 12 kills for the Panthers, with Grace Webner adding three kills and Tyme Boettcher and Angel Poldberg two apiece. Mollie Monthei had 14 assists, Webner two and Jasmarie Flanery one to help spark the attack.

Webner had 11 digs and Boettcher 10, with Jasmyn Sellers providing eight digs. Flanery had seven digs, Monthei six, Jaidyn Sellers three and Carley VanGundy two.

The hosts served 81-of-97 (84 percent) behind the line and finished with seven total aces.

Boettcher was 12-15-5, Webner 18-20-1, and Monthei 14-20-1. Jazmyn Sellers finished 14-of-15 behind the line, with Flanery 14-of-16, and Jaidyn Sellers 9-of-11.

Panorama finishes their regular season with a trio of road matches. They visit West Marshall Tuesday, Woodward-Granger Oct. 12, and Des Moines Christian Oct. 14.
