Panorama’s Halterman honored by IGCA

Panorama senior Brooke Halterman, who recently chose to continue her volleyball career at Southwestern Community College, was been named to the Class 2A Central All-District team by the IGCA.

PANORA — Senior Brooke Halterman has been named to the Class 2A Central All-District volleyball team. Honors in all classes were recently released by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

Halterman helped Panorama to a 17-12 overall record and a 7-3 tally in WCAC action. The wins were the most in a season in school history, with the Panthers also winning their first-ever postseason contest this season, their first under head coach Jessica Nail.

Halterman led her team with 239 total kills, an average of 2.85 per set, and did so with a strong efficiency percentage of .297.

She finished with an .896 serving accuracy after finishing 249-of-278 behind the line, a sum that included 30 aces. Along the way she provided 121 digs and had 25 solo and eight assisted blocks.

Halterman recently announced her intention to continue her volleyball career at Southwestern Community College in Creston.
