Panther boys, girls top Greene County Wednesday

The Panorama Panthers girls basketball season started off Wednesday night with a 56-23 win over Greene County High School in Jefferson.

The Panthers have six seniors leading the charge this season, with a younger bench following right behind them.

Tyme Boettcher lead the Panthers with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Morgan Crees followed with 9 points and 2 assists, and Mia Waddle added 8 points.

“We were pleased with the on-court decision making,” said Coach Boettcher. “The passes were on time and on target, and defensively the team was able to mix it up and work on communication with their teammates.”

The Panthers will continue with non-conference play Thursday at IKM-Manning JV and Varsity and then again on Friday, Dec. 1with JV/V conference play at Madrid.

In boys’ play, the Panorama Panther boys basketball started out strong against the Greene County Rams and came away with a 62-46 victory.

Freshman Trey Boettcher led Panther scoring with 18 points while adding 6 rebounds.

Brady Stauffer added 10 points and 1 assist. AJ Draper added 10 points and 8 rebounds. Maddox Hammerstrom lead rebounding with 11 and added 14 assists. Brayden Galvan added another 2 assists.

The Panthers will continue with non-conference play Thursday at IKM-Manning JV and Varsity. They will also play a conference game Friday, Dec. 1 at Madrid.
