Panther girls, boys win big against I-35 High School Tuesday

The Panther girls basketball team took on the girls from Interstate 35 High School Tuesday night and came out with a 58-20 victory.

“Our team worked hard and efficiently on the defensive end, which led to a 24-0 run,” Coach Boettcher said.

Defense was led by Tyme Boettcher and Jaidyn Sellers with steals, and Morgan Crees led the team in assists.

On the offensive side, Sellers led Panther scoring with 21 points.

“We are proud of our production and pace of play from the bench,” Boettcher said. “It is exciting to see!”

The Panthers are now 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the Conference. The next game will be Friday, Dec. 15 at AC/GC.

The Panther boys also beat I-35 Tuesday night 85-48.

Trey Boettcher led the team with 20 points and 13 rebounds, and Maddox Hammerstrom added 9 assists. Many other Panthers contributed to the scoring tally as well.

The boys allowed only 32 points to I-35 by halftime, when the Panthers were leading by 10 points. In the second half, the Panorama boys picked up the pace and held I-35 to only 16 points.

The Panther boys play again Friday at AC/GC in Guthrie Center.
