Panthers fall to Bulldogs in straight sets

VAN METER, IOWA — Panorama dropped a 3-0 WCAC volleyball decision to Van Meter Tuesday, falling on scores of 25-13, 25-16 and 25-14.

The visiting Panthers fell to 6-13 overall and 3-3 in league play with the setback while the Bulldogs rose to 13-8 and 7-1.

Jaidyn Sellers recorded eight kills for Panorama, with Grace Webner making five. Jasmarie Flanery had three kills, Tyme Boettcher two and Jazmyn Sellers one. Mollie Monthei had all 19 of the assists for the guests.

Boettcher had 10 digs to lead the defense. Jazmyn Sellers had seven digs and Jaidyn Sellers six, with Webner (5), Flanery (3) and Monthei (2) also contributing while Andrea Hammers and Carley VanGundy had one dig apiece.

Jazmyn Sellers served 7-of-9 with an ace and Boettcher 5-5-2. Webner was 7-of-10 behind the line, Monthei 6-of-6, Jaidyn Sellers 5-of-6 and Flanery 3-of-4. The team was 33-of-40 (83 percent) overall with three aces.

Panorama hosts AC/GC Thursday, is at Woodward-Granger Tuesday and hosts Des Moines Christian Oct. 14.
