PANORA, Iowa — The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team, ranked second in the West Central Conference, handily beat West Central Valley High School at home Tuesday night 66-17.

Tyme Boettcher, Jaidyn Sellers and Mia Waddle were the top scorers of the night, all registering in the double digits. Girls coming off the bench also made a big contribution to the win.

Rebounds and assists were also a huge effort in this win for the Panthers.

“I was happy with the way that we shared the ball and ran the floor, always looking down the floor,” said Coach Boettcher. “We had so many contributors offensively and defensively, and that is what we like to see at this point in the season.”

The girls are now 13-0 overall and 9-0 in the West Central Conference.

The Panther Boys also came out ready to play against the West Central Valley Wildcats on Tuesday night in Panora, and they won 78-55.

Getting the Panthers rolling were freshman Trey Boettcher with 28 points and Braylon Dawes with 22 points.

The Panthers were hitting the boards hard for the rebounds and looking for the assists to open players. As a team they totaled 33 rebounds, 21 assists, 8 steals and 2 blocks.
