Panthers sweep past host Tigers

MADRID — Panorama moved to 3-1 overall and 3-1 in WCAC volleyball play with a 3-0 sweep of Madrid in league action Tuesday.

The Panthers won the first set, 25-13, before posting a 25-15 win in set two. A 25-23 win in the third set completed the sweep, dropping the Tigers to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in WCAC play.

Jaidyn Sellers, Audrey Cmelik, and Angel Poldberg had five kills apiece, with Jordan Douglass adding four kills and Shey Storesund two. Grace Richey had 10 assists, Emma Powell five and Poldberg two.

Cmelik and Poldberg each had a block at the net, with Sellers and Douglass both making an assisted block. Paige Cmelik had five digs, Audrey Cmelik, Douglass, Powell and Brix Gymer two digs apiece and Storesund and Richey one each.

Audrey Cmelik served 14-of-14 with three aces, with Storesund 11-of-13 with an ace. Powell was 10-12-4 behind the line and Richey 10-12-1, with Douglass 10-11-1, and Paige Cmelik 5-6-1. The team was a combined 60-68-11, a success rate of 88.2 percent.

Panorama returns to action Tuesday with a visit to league foe Pleasantville.
