Perry boys earn second place at Iowa Games

AMES — The excellence of boys soccer in Perry was on full display at the recent Iowa Games, as a group composed almost entirely of current and future Bluejays earned second place in the U19 division. Competition was held Friday-Sunday at Iowa State University.

Perry scored wins over Tsunami of Bondurant, against ADM and over the Nevada Lightning. They came up on the short end of a 1-0 championship game outcome to Denison.

Players included Amos Munoz, Emanuel Soto, Anthony Burgos, Abraham Ruiz, Christian Chavez, Luis Guzman, Cori Alamina, Marvin Sarceno, Ever Tobar, Anthony Macias, Deshawn Salcedo, Tomas Lopez, Andrew Galindo, Moses Tellez, Daniel Ortiz and Wilbur Ramirez.

Humberto Hernandez served as head coach, with Mario Galindo, Jose Chavez and Alvaro Soto assisting.
