Sunny skies were for once the conditions under which the Perry boys golfers took to the links, and while the hosts were 28 strokes better than Carlisle, they found themselves 18 strokes behind Bondurant-Farrar.

The B-F Bluejays looked very strong at the Perry Golf and County Club, shooting the three lowest scores and four of the lowest six en route to a winning score of 169. Perry finished at 187 and Carlisle at 215.

Perry senior Noah Wilkening survived a quadruple bogey on the fifth hole to finish par-eagle-birdie and post a team-low 43. Fellow senior Dane McCarty had two pars on his way to a round of 44, with two pars from Tanner Duffy helping create a round of 49 while Luke Rathje tallied a 51.

Mason Storey and Jordan Collins of B-F were the medalist and runner-up medalist after recording trips of 40 and 41, respectively. Jayden Brady had a 42 and Isaac Hanson a 46 for the visiting Jays.

Carlisle was led by Braxton Hinders, who shot a 48. Also scoring for the Wildcats were Garrett Wilson (53), Max Evans (57) and Owen Durham (57).

Others playing varsity but not having their scores used for their respective team total were Connor Nielsen (56) and Gabe Ridnour (59) of Perry, Drew Hormann (46) and Caleb Barnett (49) of B-F and Avery Gronewald (67) of Carlisle.

B-F posted a 201 junior varsity score, with the Carlisle JV posting a 242 and the Perry JV a 261.

Brady Iben (53), Tyler Soll (61), Kade Kilmer (69) and Dakota Strough (78) were in action for the Perry junior varsity.

Perry will join ADM, Ballard and Madrid in visiting Woodward-Granger Thursday for the annual Hawk Boys Invitational, with play scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
