Perry girls play 18 holes at Winterset

WINTERSET — The Jayette golfers put in 18 holes Monday at the Winterset girls invite, with four Perry players seeing varsity action.

Delaney Eiteman led Perry with a team-low 55-55–110. Bryce Eastman shot a 70-62–132, with MaryLou Ledesma 73-68–141 and Ainsley Marburger 66-76–142 also turning in cards.

Creston won the team competition with a combined 378, with DC-G carding a 386 and Van Meter a 394. Winterset had a 407 and Chariton a 435. Perry finished at 525 while Clarke had only three players and could not generate a team final.

Van Meter’s Kylie Carey was overall medalist with a 37-38–75 with Creston’s Riley Driskel second at 43-41–84. London Wille of Van Meter was third at 45-43–88, with Creston’s Maria Groumoutis fourth at 47-46–93 and DC-G’s Lydia Steier fifth at 50-43–93.

Perry will host Carroll, Bondurant-Farrar and Des Moines Roosevelt today at the Perry Golf and Country Club.
