ADEL — Senior Sid Vancil won the 800 at Tuesday’s ADM Invite in 2 minutes, 30.93 seconds, the only event in which Perry was victorious.
ADM scored 164 points to win the meet, with DC-G second at 121 with Perry seventh on the seven-team field at 23.
Despite the low points, there were several highlights for coach Matt Hardy’s squad, including a personal-best 5:29.15 from Grace Stewart in the 1500, a clocking which placed the senior fifth.
Vancil, Stewart, Isabel Saemisch and Jaqueline Guardado were third in a season-best 10:51.39 in the 4×800. Emma Humpal, Star Love, Kennedy Tunink and Brooklyn Dekoter were sixth (2:12.8) in the 4×200, with Humpal, Love, Tunink and Damaris Robles sixth in the sprint medley (2:17.52) while Vancil, Saemisch, Quinn Whiton and Jasmine Shriver placed sixth in the 4×400 (4:51.02).
Shriver had a personal-best leap of 14 feet, 6-3/4 inches to finish fifth in the long jump and, although not scoring, had a career-best 29.26 in the 200.
Also setting new personal standards were Bailey Piper in the shot put (25’8) and Robles in the junior varsity 400 (1:11.97).
Perry returns to action Friday with a visit to the Ballard girls invitational.
