ALLEMAN — The Perry girls had little trouble in rolling CMB, 34-11, at the North Polk Jamboree Tuesday.

Perry head coach Mike Long said he was pleased by the defensive effort of his team, which created numerous turnovers and easy scoring opportunities. Long also noted that several different players scored for the Jayettes.

Grace Marburger led Perry with eight points, with Grace Stewart adding six.

Perry opens play Tuesday with a trip to Newton. The Jayettes and their Bluejay counterparts will travel to Greene County Dec. 1, with both squads opening their Raccoon River Conference schedules with a visit from Carlisle Dec. 4.

Season preview for wrestling and both boys and girls basketball from both Perry and Woodward-Granger will be posted in the coming days. ThePerryNews.com: Sports Your Way.
