Perry High School Principal Dan Marburger visited the Tuesday luncheon of the Perry Kiwanis Club this week and gave the members a summary of what is going on at the high school.

Marburger said PHS is starting a new Student of the Month initiative, sponsored by the Perry Kiwanis Club.

The high school has recently started a Microsoft certification program in the Office suite of software programs.

Marburger said plans are in the works to increase the industrial tech education area and multiply the class offerings, and PHS is trying to get its ag education program up and running.

The close partnership between PHS and the DMACC Perry VanKirk career Academy was also briefly outlined by Marburger, a 23-year veteran of PHS.
