The Perry Ministerial Association (PMA) will begin its 2024 Lenten services at midday Tuesday. The series will be presented in five churches around the Perry community.
Lent began Wednesday, Feb. 14, and the schedule for the Tuesday services follows:
Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 621 10th St.
Tuesday, Feb. 27 at the Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 920 15th St.
Tuesday, March 5 at the First United Methodist Church, 1100 Third St.
Tuesday, March 12 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1323 Fourth St.
Tuesday, March 19 at the First Christian Church, 1224 Lucinda St.
The Lenten services will begin each week at 12:05 p.m., with lunch to follow. An offering will be received as part of the worship service. This offering helps the work of the PMA’s Good Samaritan Fund, which aids individuals and families in the community in crisis situations. All the churches are handicap accessible.
“Please join us for one or all of the Tuesday Lenten services,” a PMA spokesperson said.
