The Optimist Club International of Perry held its December meeting Tuesday the La Poste, with 15 members discussing a range of holiday-related activities, including Toys for Tots, the Giving Tree and the Community Christmas Dinner.
Preparations for the annual Optimist Club Essay Contest were also forwarded. The contest is open to student writers under the age of 19.
Perry Optimist Club President Zack Cregeen welcomed Optimist Club International Zone 6 Lieutenant Governor Mike Mona, who is also a member of the Noon Optimist Club of Western Des Moines. Mona shared information about winter activities with the Perry membership.
