A warm welcome awaits at the new Perry Perk at 1201 Warford St., with staffers from left, Betsy Guthrie, Robert Mason, Tari Mason and Madi Mason happy to greet customers.

The Perry Perk coffeehouse opened in its new home Tuesday morning in sub-zero temperatures and snow-slick streets, but the welcome indoors was warm and toasty.

Adam Modlin was the first customer in line at the new store, taking his latte to go, and he was followed by a steady stream of friendly customers who congratulated owner Tari Mason on the move.

“It was a pretty smooth move overall,” Mason said, as she iced a set of cinnamon rolls.
That’s actually unusual for me, come to think of it.”

Mason was assisted in the soft opening by Betsy Guthrie and her daughter, Madi Mason, and son, Robert Mason.

The Perry Perk at 1201 Warford St. in open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
