  • Roy Howard Coll III, 22, 602 Main St., Bagley, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department was “flagged down” by someone who “reported two suspicious females in” a local retail store. The officer made contact with the females and determined they “were hanging out in the store for an unusual amount of time. They left a short time later. All was okay.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said, with the aid of a translator, that “her husband never returned home last night.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a suspicious person “knocked on his door” and “then gave him a box of candies and left.” The caller said the candy man “looked like he was under the influence of something,” and the caller “wanted an officer to take possession of the candy.” An officer responded and “met with the complainant,” who handed the officer “a Casey’s food cup with some treats in it.” The officer made contact with someone who said “he was attempting to locate a friend.” The officer determined the person “appeared to have some mental disabilities.”
  • A caller “requested to speak to an officer about something she found going through her late husband’s things.” An officer responded, and the caller presented the officer with “an old tobacco pipe in a box, with a card with a marijuana leaf on it.” The caller said “it belonged to her late husband.” The officer determined “the pipe smelled like tobacco.” The caller “requested the tobacco pipe be disposed of,” and the officer told the caller “the pipe was not a crime,” and the caller “could dispose of the tobacco pipe.”
  • A caller said “he was having a problem with two kids hanging out in the laundry room.” The caller said “they are smoking marijuana, and he suspects they are damaging the washer and dryer.” Officers responded and made contact with two boys, who “agreed to let officers search their person. Nothing was found. Both boys were advised the building owner does not want them haning out in the laundry room anymore. Both boys were argumentative but complied.” The caller called again 40 minutes later and said “the boys were back.” Officers responded and “served a no-trespass at the request of the owner.”
  • A caller said her neighbors “were yelling at each other again.” Officers responded, and a female was issued a citation for first-offense noise ordinance.
  • A caller said his dog was lost. The caller called again and said his dog was found.
  • A caller said “his ex-wife had been contacting him.” The caller said “there is a no-contact order in place.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her son “was out past curfew, and she wanted to make officers aware of this.” An officer was advised.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
