December 6, 2019

  • A 1995 Toyota Avalon, registered to Scott Twogood of Perry and driven by Jennifer Nicolaisen of Perry, collided with a 2017 Mack semi-tractor trailer, registered to Darling Ingredients Inc. of Des Moines and driven by Elijah Ochoa of Des Moines, near the intersection of First Avenue and Park Street. Damage to the Toyota was estimated at $5,000, and damage to the Mack was estimated at $500. Nicolaisen was issued a citation for failure to obey a stop sign and failure to show proof of insurance.
  • Jenifer Nicolaisen, 40, of 12879 Houston Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • The Perry Police Department received a report of a theft. The case is under investigation.

December 7, 2019

  • Officers responded to the 1300 block of Sixth Street on a report of a possible break in sometime in the past two weeks. Nothing was missing from the home. Damage was estimated at $50.
  • Officers responded to the 500 block of Clearview Drive on a report of an argument in progress. The situation calmed.
  • Officers responded to the 2800 block of Willis Avenue on a report of a fight in progress. A customer was unhappy and was causing a disturbance. The customer was served with a no-trespass notice.

December 8, 2019

  • Officers responded to the 1700 block of Fourth Street on a report of an attempted burglary. Entry was not gained.
  • Thomas Alan Kloster, 37, of 2419 McKinley St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of fifth-degree criminal mischief.
  • Brandon James Cole, 18, of 1805 Otley Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A 16-year-old male from Perry was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

December 9, 2019

  • The Perry Police Department received two reports of attempted Social Security scams.
  • Lucas Hunter Feltz, 29, of 2721 Eastern Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of first-offense OWI.
  • Officers responded to the 600 bock of 10th Street on a report of an assault.
  • Charity Marie Lampman, 18, of 913 Willis Ave., Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on a charge of fifth-degree theft.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
