January 18, 2017

  • A caller “wanted to talk to an officer about his neighbor.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said he “needs to take his father to an appointment, but there were people outside making it difficult to leave.” The caller then “said the people are leaving and that he had felt threatened.” An officer responded, and “everything appeared to be all right.”
  • A caller said “a younger female parked in the handicap spot in front of the library and went to DMACC.” The caller called again and “reported a second vehicle also parked in the handicap area without a tag or handicap plate.” An officer responded and issued citations to a vehicle registered to an owner in Adel and a vehicle registered to an owner in Panora.
  • The Perry Police Department School Resource Officer reported two students “in possession of an e-cigarette.”
  • A caller “wanted to know how long he had to keep his ex-girlfriend’s property before it is considered abandoned.” An officer responded and “advised him of his options.”
  • A caller said “her mother kicked her out of the house” and “now won’t let her back in to get her belongings.” Officers responded, “spoke to both parties” and “calmed the situation down.”

January 19, 2017

  • Robert Allen Lindahl, 37, 419 Warford St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of carrying weapons.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said she wanted “to speak with an officer regarding an abusive relationship that she has been trying to get out of.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
