  • A caller said his middle school-aged son returned home after failing to take the bus to school. He said he asked the boy why he did not walk to school as usual in such circumstances, but his son “didn’t respond and just sat to eat.” The caller said he “feels like there is a reason why he doesn’t want to go to school.” The school resource officer responded and took the boy to school.
  • A teacher at the elementary school asked the student resource officer to “speak to her class about theft.” The school resource officer responded and assisted.
  • A caller said her friend lost her wallet. The caller later reported her friend found her wallet.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said he was treated for a work-related injury at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines. He said the hospital staff directed him to seek a breath test and urine analysis from a police department. An officer responded and assisted.
