March 22, 2018

  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded, found the dog and “was able to out the dog back on the property.”
  • A caller “reported an injured or sick raccoon.” An officer responded and determined the “raccoon did not appear sick.”
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department performed a funeral escort.
  • A caller said her automobile mechanic discovered sugar in her oil. The caller said she has “ongoing issues” with someone and “believes she has something to do with it.” The caller “requested an extra parol because she was scare of” someone. An officer responded.
  • A caller said his two dogs were lost. The caller later called again and said his dogs were found.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department taught a DARE class at St. Patrick Catholic School.
  • A caller “reported a raccoon that is injured” on the bike trail. The caller said the animal was “limping toward them and hissing.” An officer responded but did not find the raccoon.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded and found “the owner has taken the dog.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a dog she said she caught running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility. The “owners came in looking for their” dog afterward.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department taught a DARE class at the Perry Elementary School.
  • A caller reported a vehicle “has been parked at the lot behind” the caller’s business “for three months.” The caller said “no one knows who it belongs to.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she was just assaulted by a consumer.” An officer responded, and the “staff at the group home” said a resident “had assaulted them and other clients in the home, and they wanted her removed from the home and taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation.” The “consumer” asked the officer “to take her to the emergency room,” and the officer “transported her to DCH.”
  • A caller said her dog was lost. The caller later called again and said her dog was found.
  • A caller said “she was told by a nurse” that “her medication was missing.” An officer responded, and the “staff confirmed all medication was accounted for.” The officer made contact with the caller, who said “she just found out her medication was not missing.”
  • A caller reported two males “fighting in the middle of the road.” An officer responded and found no one fighting and the area quiet.

March 23, 2018

  • A caller reported “a staff member stuck in the elevator.” The Perry Volunteer Fire Department was paged but then disregarded when the caller called again and said “someone had come to fix the elevator and did not need the fire department anymore.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
