  • A caller said her 15-year-old child was “out of control.” Officers responded.
  • A caller said his 15-year-old child was missing. An officer responded, and a missing-person report was filled out. Investigations revealed the child was living with a grandparent.
  • A caller said his garage was broken into. An officer responded and found “suspects had attempted to make entry by breaking boards off of the garage side facing the alley.” The caller said nothing appeared to be missing.
  • A caller said his vehicle was spray painted during the night, and “someone had poured after shave on the driver side” of the vehicle. An officer responded and started an investigation.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “someone had burned the inside” of her father’s vehicle during the night. An officer responded and started an investigation.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said she had been bitten by a dog while walking in the 1600 block of Willis Avenue. She said she was treated for the injury at the hospital. An officer responded and started an investigation.
  • Tia Marie Dereus, 22, 1215 18th St., #7, Perry, was arrested on a charge of fifth-degree criminal mischief.
  • Nathan Lawrence Benedict, 25, 1709 Iowa St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • A caller said her 14-year-old son “got jumped and had his board stolen from him.” She said two or three juveniles “ran up behind him and knocked him off of his board. They then took the board and left.” An officer responded and started an investigation.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
