Perry sesquicentennial celebrations brought joy to local history Saturday morning, with activities suitable for all ages and ranging from the serious to the silly.

Activities continue Saturday night with four bands at the Triangle downtown and the Perry Lutheran Homes’ Run Through Time 5K walk/run at 7 p.m., starting in Caboose Park.

Sunday will see the Elks Club community breakfast from 7-10 a.m. and the 100 Years of Faith tour of local churches, starting at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, followed by a community prayer service at 4 p.m. at the First UMC.
