SAC CITY — Another season of much individual and team success continued for the Perry Summer Swim Team Tuesday as they posted a 300-258 win over Sac City.

One team record fell at the meet, as the 13-14 girls quartet of Jaylene Karolus, Sophia McDevitt, Jenna Nelson and Quin Mahler-Moreno (swimming up a division) erased a PSST mark as old as any of the foursome. The unit posted a clocking of 2 minutes, 25.49 seconds, besting the 2:26.92 recorded by Jessica Roberts, Kate McCauley, Janae Weiser and Jessica Dye on July 13, 1995.

Mahler-Moreno, Karlous and Joel Storey (11-12) also set new team marks in a series of events, all simply lowering their own standards from earlier this season.

Karolus, McDevitt and Mahler-Moreno were joined by Zoe Hibbert (11-12) in winning five times apiece for the Perry girls. Aleah Karolus (9-10) and Dannah Karolus (15-18) both had triple victories, with Maddie McDevitt and Lilly Riley (both 11-12), Jenna Nelson (13-14), Avery Miner, Anna Ridnour and Sarah Vaughn (all 15-18) all posted double wins, with Abby Herman adding a victory.

Joel Storey (11-12) was the lone Perry boy with five wins, with Dysen Deardorff (8U) and Drew Storey (15-18) close behind with four wins apiece. Townes Wilson (9-10) and Riese Archer (15-18) each posted three victories, with Eli McCarty (8U), Bryan Anderson (9-10), Samuel Ridnour and Jacob Storey (both 15-18) providing two wins apiece. Boomer Deardorff (9-10) and Josh Pohl (13-14) played a role in the PSST win as well as each recorded a single victory.

Perry will visit Denison Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. for a rescheduled meet that will wrap the regular season. The team will return to Denison July 13 for the Iowa West Swim Conference meet, which will begin at 10 a.m.
