LAKE CITY — A young and short roster limited the points host Lake City could score against the Perry Summer Swim Team when the two squads met Tuesday for an Iowa West Swim Conference dual meet.

PSST was missing roughly one-third of their own roster for a variety of reason, but the absences did little to effect to eventual outcome, with Perry coasting to a 307-196 win.

Four Perry girls finished with a meet-perfect five wins, with 11-12 speedsters Zoe Hobbert and Quin Mahler-Moreno and 13-14 standouts Jaylene Karolus and Sophia McDevitt earning the honors.

Aleah Karolus (9-10) posted four wins, with Maddie McDevitt (11-12), Addison Huntington and Jenna Nelson (both 13-14) each winning twice while 15-18 swimmer and assistant coach Anna Ridnour adding a victory as well.

Isaac Winey (9-10) was the lone Perry boy with five wins, although Dysen Deardorff (8U), Kane Mahler-Moreno (11-12), Drew Storey and Ethan Winey (both 15-18) all had quadruple wins.

Townes Wilson (9-10) and Dylan Winey (15-18) recorded three wins apiece, with double-wins claimed by Bryan Anderson (9-10), Garrett Winey (13-14) and Riese Archer (15-18). Also helping Perry with wins were Eli McCarty (8U), Boomer Deardorff (9-10) and Jacob Storey (15-18).

Perry was to swim at Denison Thursday, but mechanical issues with the pool forced a postponement, as Denison could not arrange transport in time to move the meet to Perry. It has been rescheduled for July 1, at Denison, at 6:30 p.m.

PSST will host Manning at the MCB Pool Tuesday before visiting Glidden Thursday. Both meets will begin with the usual 6:30 p.m. start.
