Perry's Syd Guerra charges up the pitch for the Jayettes last season. She will take her talents to Kansas City Kansas Community College.

Three Perry athletes will sign letters of intent to continue their athletic careers during a ceremony March 30 in the Brady library at PHS.

Syd Guerra will be the only Jayette to sign at the event. She will be taking her soccer talents to the pitch for Kansas City Kansas Community College in Kansas City, Kansas.

Guerra, assigned primarily to defensive duties, had five goals and an assist for the Jayettes last season. She has 28 goals and seven assists in three seasons and has helped Perry reach the regional finals each of the past two years.

Rashon Ivory will follow older brother Shammond’s route and take his basketball skills to DMACC. The younger Ivory averaged 18.5 points per game for the Bluejays this season while shooting 23-of-62 (37.1 percent) on 3-point attempts and 110-of-145 (75.9 percent) at the foul line. He made 69 assists and had 40 steals against just 45 turnovers while grabbing 49 rebounds.

Loras College will receive the baseball talents of Aaron Lockwood, who batted .265 and scored 15 runs on the diamond for the Bluejays last year.
