Members of the Perry VFW Post 2060 and American Legion Post 85, standing from left, Mahlon Conaway, Ron Leber and Post Commander Nathan Hoffman, made their annual distribution of gift bags to local U.S. military veterans Saturday.

Several members of Perry’s VFW Post 2060 honored our local military veterans Saturday by paying a visit to the 40 veterans living in Perry’s four long-term care facilities and giving each service member a holiday gift bag.

VFW Post 2060 Commander Nathan Hoffman was joined by fellow VFW members Mahlon Conaway in visiting the vets in the four Perry nursing homes and presenting them with seasonal gifts.

“We owe them our gratitude for serving this great nation,” Hoffman said. “There were great stories and great times shared with the members and veterans.”

This marks the fourth year the Perry VFW Post 2060 has brought the seasonal gifts to their fellow veterans.
