There were many stops along the trail of the sixth annual Bacoon Ride, but only the passage through Perry brought the bacon-loving bikers to the true pork-processing heart of the Raccoon River Valley Trail.
The annual pork ride was relatively uneventful for area public-safety agencies. The Perry Police Department reported no Bacoon-related calls for service, and the Dallas County Sheriff’s office received seven calls, including four in which the Dallas County EMS was paged for sick or injured riders.
