W-G will host DMC Monday at 7 p.m. in the Class 2A District 12 Final. The game was washed out Saturday, though the busting of the recent heat wave is doubtless considered by most as a fair exchange.

Tuesday’s thunderstorms arrived just in time to spoil the fun on baseball and softball diamonds as well as soccer pitches throughout the area.[wpedon id=”82220″ align=”center”]

Perry and ADM will play their postponed Class 2A Regional girls soccer contest at 6 p.m. in Adel today, with Panorama hosting Kuemper Catholic today at 6 p.m. Both matches were to have been played Tuesday.

Woodward-Granger was playing both baseball and softball in Madrid when the skies were torn open. W-G held a 4-1 lead in the top of the fourth in the baseball game, with the softball contest even at 1-1 in the second frame. Both will be resumed where they were stopped when Madrid visits W-G June 25.

W-G was to have played Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont at 11 a.m. today at Principal Park, but Sec Taylor field received damage from the storm, forcing postponements of a series of prep games. A rescheduled date has not been set.

Panorama was playing both diamond sports at Ogden. Baseball will be played today; word has yet to be received concerning softball.

Perry’s softball game at ADM never began. No makeup date has been announced.

In addition to the action listed above, the Perry baseball team will host Carroll Wednesday, with the Perry softball team hosting Carroll for their home opener. The game will be varsity only and will start at 6:30 p.m.
