The Perry Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting Tuesday during the open house at 3rd Street Suite, the new downtown summer rental house owned by Bethany Wicks of Perry.
Wicks was busy welcoming the crowd who filled the house at 1407 Third St., where a variety of tasty refreshments were available.
The 1,400-square-foot, two-story house was built in 1935. Each of the four bedrooms has a queen-size bed. There are full bathrooms on both floors, with a living room, dining room and sun room downstairs.
Virtually all the decor at 3rd Street Suite is locally sourced, whether from Betsy Peterson Designs, local antique shops, Ben’s Five and Dime or Perry’s other retail outlets. A copper artwork by local artisan Brad Kiefer hangs prominently in the dining room.
