The Rippey Lions Club held its annual spaghetti dinner Saturday at the Rippey United Methodist Church.

With a cool fall evening providing the backdrop, the crowd of about 60 people enjoyed a meal of spaghetti, salad, cookie, dessert bars and beverage.

Funds raised from the meal will be used for a scholarship to Camp Herkto in Boone, which specializes in providing camping experiences for children with diabetes.

A second project funded by the spaghetti supper is the Leader Dog Program. This program provides service dogs for people who are visually impaired.

A project for park improvements in the city of Rippey also receives Rippey Liond Club support.

The Rippey Lions meet the first and third Thursday of each month. The club president is Randy Vodenik.
