A two-out error led to three unearned runs for visiting Bondurant-Farrar Wednesday, establishing to the tone for an eventual 10-2 over Perry in Raccoon River Conference softball.

Perry (4-20, 0-11) made several mental errors on the bases as well, limiting any chance of rallying for the win.

An error allowed the first run of the game to score, with Katelyn Lappe following up with the first of her two two-run home runs for a 3-0 lead.

B-F (14-15, 3-9) added a fourth run with a tally in the second, with Perry scoring once in their half of the frame.

The Jayettes started the bottom of the fourth with consecutive hits but had a runner doubled-off second base as the rally fizzled. Gabby West singled in the second, with courtesy runner Kathryn West just beating the throw home to score from second on a RBI-single from Peyton Tunink.

Lappe smashed a second two-run blast to deep center field to fuel a three-run B-F third. The guests added single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, the final run coming on a line-drive home run to left from Megan Murphy.

Perry pushed a final run home when Jayna Kenney tripled and scored on a B-F infield error.

Kenney pitched three innings, allowing eight runs (three earned) on eight hits, two walks and a hit batsman. Tunink threw four frames, yielded two runs on two hits and three walks.

Lauren Osborn surrendered two runs on six hits in seven innings to collect the win. She hit one batter and struck out three.

The Jayettes welcomed the Perry Girls Softball Association to the game, with players and coaches introduced before the first pitch. The youngsters were able to join the Jayettes on the diamond for the national anthem.

Perry honored seniors Gabby West and Adriana Eastman before the game as well, saluting the pair for their years of effort as Jayettes.
