IRVING, TX —  Nine members of the Iowa State football team have been named to the 2015 Academic All-Big 12 Conference teams, announced Thursday by the Big 12 Conference.

Earning First Team honors was redshirt junior linebacker Kane Seeley, a former Perry standout. Seeley was a First Team honoree as a freshmen and was named to the Second Team as a sophomore.

Seeley will graduate Dec. 19 with a degree in Communications and a minor in Human Development Family Services and will have done so in just seven semesters. He will remain enrolled at ISU and pursue a Leadership Certificate while retaining a year of athletic eligibility.

His roommate, placekicker Cole Netten, a junior from Ankeny, was also named to the First Team. Seeley and Netten are the only two players from their recruiting class to have appeared in every game after redshirting for a season.
