Local public safety agents teamed up with youngsters Saturday for the annual Shop with a Cop event in Perry.
Perry-area peace officers, firefighters and paramedics hosted area children Saturday morning for the annual Shop with a Cop program in Perry.
The children first pair off with public safety agents at the Perry Elementary School and generate a wish list, with the youngsters choosing gifts for each member of their families before planning on ones for themselves.
Then they fan out for some team Christmas shopping at Ben’s Five and Dime, the Dollar General Store and other sponsors.
Once the shopping duties were completed, the shoppers and coppers returned to the Perry Elementary School to wrap the gifts for Christmas morning. The annual event is a favorite for the kids and cops alike.
