With the annual fall Light up the Knight fundraiser canceled due to the novel coronavirus global pandemic, the students as St. Patrick Catholic School held a Color the Knight event Tuesday afternoon.

Thanks to the donation of more than 100 white t-shirts by Osmundson Manufacturing Co. in Perry, the students and teachers themselves became the canvases and walking art works as they colored the Knights with multicolored non-toxic powders.

The St. Pat’s teachers were the first to get powdered, much to the delight of the students. Next was the students’ turn to make a circuit around the school and earning a powdering at each corner in turn, blue, green, orange and yellow.

The Color the Knight fundraiser, coming at the end of Tuesday’s end-of-the-year activities day, helps support field trips and other student activities over the school year, according to St. Pat’s Principal Kandice Roethler. She thanked Osmundson’s and all the volunteers for making the event a big success.
