The brackets are set for boys basketball postseason play.

The changes made to Triple-A baseball by Major League Baseball has created a scheduling conflict in Des Moines.

The Iowa Cubs will be hosting games in late July, forcing the IHSAA to switch venues for the upcoming state baseball tournaments.

Merchant’s Park in Carroll will host the 2021 1A and 2A state tournaments, which will be held July 26-29. The facility seats 1,200.

Class 3A and 4A will now be held at Duane Banks Field on the University of Iowa campus in Iowa City. The diamond has a full capacity of 2,300.

Each class used to send four teams to Marshalltown, but in 1995 the four-class, eight-team system was installed. That created 1A and 3A in Carroll and 2A and 4A in Marshalltown.

However, for the last 16 seasons all four classes have played at Principal Park.
