Openings remain for the two upcoming weekly youth football camps being offered by the Perry coaching staff. The camps are being offered for all youth who will be in grades 3-8 in the next school year.
Players in grades 3-5 will have camp on four consecutive Mondays, June 10, 17 and 24 and July 1, from 9-10:30 a.m. each day. Gridders in grades 6-8 will hold camp from 8:15-9:45 a.m. on four consecutive Wednesdays: June 12, 19 and 26 and July 3. All camps will be held at Dewey Field.
All skill levels are encouraged to attend, as are first-time players regardless of grade.
The varsity coaching staff, along with some current and former players, will be teaching age-appropriate fundamentals while working on developing consistency of performance. Players will learn football skills, drills, rules and strategies and how to showcase them in a safe and fun environment.
Cost is $25 and includes a Bluejay football and a camp t-shirt. There is a $5 discount for families with more than one player (ex. two players $45; three players $60). A $5 discount will also be granted to any fifth grader who is also attending the upcoming Central Shooting Academy youth basketball camp.
